Endangered Species
To me polar bears are the most capable creature on this planet, they can swim in ice-covered waters for miles than take down animals twice their size. Sadly the most capable animal is one of the most threatened.
Polar bears are listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act, saying that sea ice losses in the Arctic from global warming as the biggest threat to polar bears. Polar bears depend on sea ice for hunting, breeding, and in some cases denning. In recent years summer sea ice losses in the Arctic have been accelerating.
