A tropical fish known as the phantom or gray ghost, probably pound for pound the strongest and fastest swimming fish in salt-water. They have been honored by the United States Navy by naming a submarine after it, the USS Bonefish. They even sparked worldwide conservation and research centers, specialized professional guides, exclusive fishing lodges, custom designed boats, fishing tackle, clothing and a tourist industry. They are considered to be among the world's premier Fly game fish and are responsible for changing more anglers’ lives than any other sport fish. I tried to honor this fish with a simple painting.
